General[ | ]

The Shockwave Field is the basic Explosive-resisting base shield.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Shockwave Fields are most useful for clustered bases where base attackers would most likely use Explosive weapons such as Creeper Torpedoes and Arc Missiles to deal damage to multiple modules at once. They are excellent against the near-unstoppable Manifold Missile blitz tactic.

This shield should be used on Storage Modules and Antimatter Silos that are behind Combat Modules as they are often damaged by Explosive weapons that target the Combat Modules in front.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Shockwave Fields only have moderate shield energy, making them less effective overall than Spectral Fields.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Modules with active Shockwave Fields are encased in a blue dome, which occasionally pulses orange but is hardly noticeable.
  • The equipping time of all old blueprint items for bases was reduced by half during the May 2020 update.
