General[ | ]

Phased Magnets have fused Iridium Magnets and Phased Projectiles, into one lethal weapon upgrade.
  — Sybil

Phased Magnets are a combination of Phased Projectiles and Iridium Magnets, providing your weapons with additional shield bypass and projectile speed.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Upgrade your ranged weapons with the Phased Magnets.
  — Event Store

Phased Magnets allow your ships to deal guaranteed repair time even against shielded enemies. The enhanced projectile speed makes dodging much more difficult, while the shield bypass increases the portion of damage that ignores shield defenses.

This special eliminates the need of using up two special slots to gain the benefits of both Phased Projectiles and Iridium Magnets, saving the remaining slot for other purposes.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Most enemies are armor-heavy, making the shield bypass more of an annoyance than a threat. Phased Magnets weigh significantly more than Iridium Magnets, so the latter is a much better choice if all you care about is weapon accuracy.
