The Lance Destroyer is a Tier 4 hull with more advanced VEGA Security technology.

As a destroyer, this ship has modest firepower but very long range, taking out opponents from afar.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Lance Destroyers not only have more maximum mass compared to the Scythe Destroyer, they also possess an extra weapon slot. This is key to offensive capability because multiple lower-level weapons can have the same damage output as fewer higher-level weapons but cost less mass.

Note that the weapon in the third slot is capable of destroying any squadrons that happen to be on top of the ship itself.

Siege Drivers are most common on Lance Destroyers oriented for base attacks. Aurora Rays are often used in fleet combat for protection against squadrons, with Focused Optics to extend their range.

In terms of thrusters, Binary Thrusters help you dodge incoming shots when sniping a base, while Fusion Thrusters allow you to keep enemies in your firing arc and continue dealing damage even as they get close.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Lance Destroyers are incredibly weak to upgraded frigates which deal up to triple damage against destroyers. They are unable to run from enemy fleets due to their slow speed.

Trivia[ | ]

  • Funnily enough, Trident Destroyers by default have only two weapon slots while Lance Destroyers have three. This is ironic considering that tridents are a three-pronged weapon, while lances only have a single tip.
  • All player ships had their Resurgence values modified as a result of the late February 2020 update.
