Derrin Clay is a former poster boy of the VEGA Federation. He defected to the Miner Rebellion when he found out that the VEGA Federation had became corrupted and no longer upholded the values they proclaimed.

Initially a poster boy of the VEGA Federation, it can be assumed that Derrin Clay was always assigned odd jobs. When he found out about the crisis of the rebels, he renounced his allegiance to the VEGA Federation and offered his services to the rebels. To prove that he was not trying to double-cross them, he revealed intelligence that spies from within the Iron Star Company are secretly acting as double agents and trading intel with the VEGA Federation, prompting players to attack Level 60 Iron Star Fleets to verify his claims.
This was later proven to be true, and he was welcomed into the ranks of the rebellion.

He wears a military uniform befitting of a fleet commander. His profile suggests that he is of imposing and well-built stature. He is considered to be egotistical by nature, claiming to the rebels that they were lucky to have him as a fleet commander.
Derrin Clay was revealed to be especially adept at handling explosive weapons. Fleets assigned under him gain additional health, Explosive Damage, and Explosive Weapon Splash radius.
