This shield is best used on long-range [[Combat Module]]s since they tend to be targeted first by snipers as the major threat. ===Disadvantages=== Deflector Fields lack shield energy compared to the [[Spectral Field]] and [[Shockwave Field]], making them especially vulnerable to [[carriers|carrier]] rimming, a tactic that uses [[squadrons]] to take out [[modules]] from afar.
