The Condor Frigate is a Tier 4 hull with standard VEGA Mining technology.

As a frigate, this ship focuses on agility and evasion, avoiding damage when possible.

Strategy and Setup

Advantages

The key advantage of the Condor Frigate is its dual shield slots. This enables it to use recharging shields (e.g. Repulsor Shield) more effectively than other frigates. In base combat, it serves as a reliable sniper decoy that can both evade and withstand heavy fire, though its effectiveness in fleet combat is less pronounced. However, it should be noted that shields can absorb more damage than armor in general due to their inherent resistance to certain Damage Types.

Viable weapons include Gladius Drivers for kiting, Hydra Missiles and/or Creeper Torpedoes for squadron defense, and Thermal Beams for brawling.

Because of the lack of armor slots, it is almost mandatory to equip Armored Hold to give the Condor Frigate much-needed health. The second special slot should be used for Strafe Thrusters or Fusion Thrusters. Weapon Boosts can only be considered once you hit Mk IV due to the requirement of a third special slot.

Disadvantages

Condor Frigates are extremely vulnerable to Shield Bypass due to the lack of health; enemies can potentially destroy this ship without having to completely deplete its shields through dealing direct health damage. Innate Shield Bypass is granted to the very ship types frigates are supposed to counter - destroyers and battleships - when upgraded, meaning that Condor Frigates cannot really counter anything.

Even without Shield Bypass, enemies can take out Condor Frigates simply by inflicting 10,000 raw damage: 9,000 damage to the shields (90% defence), which would result in 1,000 health damage.

Trivia

A weaker version, the Vulture Frigate, appears in level 30-40 VEGA Cargo Fleets.
The AI of the Condor Frigate allowed it to strafe on auto. As of now, all frigates do the same thing, but previously, the Condor Frigate was the only ship that could strafe on auto. This was likely a test feature by KIXEYE directed to only one event ship before they introduced it in a major update.
Players jokingly say the Condor Frigate is "void", mostly because it no longer has much use in the current meta of the game. It is also not that "frightening", unlike what its description suggests.
All player ships had their Resurgence values modified as a result of the late February 2020 update.
