Base Armors

Base armors, or plates, can be equipped on the armor slots of modules. Unlike ship armors, these do not go on hulls.

Basic armors can be researched in the Ship Lab. They offer a relatively low amount of additional health.

Advanced armors are harder to obtain, but they offer more protection than basic armors.

Basic Armors

Plasteel Plates	The most basic armor. Offers light protection.
Tritanium Plates	The successor to Plasteel Plates. Offers decent protection.
Iridium Plates	An advancement over Tritanium Plates. Offers significant protection.
Zynthium Plates	The best researchable armor. Offers good protection.

Capacitive Plates

A mass-efficient armor that offers heavy protection.

Xeno Division Armors

Talonite Plates	A very advanced armor that is more durable than Capacitive Plates.
EN Heavy Talonite Plates	An enhanced version of the Talonite Armor that offers great Energy resistance. The AL variant further grants Alien resistance.
EX Heavy Talonite Plates	An enhanced version of the Talonite Armor that offers great Explosive resistance. The AL variant further grants Alien resistance.
KI Heavy Talonite Plates	An enhanced version of the Talonite Armor that offers great Kinetic resistance. The AL variant further grants Alien resistance.

Tungsten Plates	A highly advanced armor, improves upon the Talonite Armor.
EN Tungsten Plates	An enhanced version of the Tungsten Armor that offers great Energy resistance. The AL variant further grants Alien resistance.
EX Tungsten Plates	An enhanced version of the Tungsten Armor that offers great Explosive resistance. The AL variant further grants Alien resistance.
KI Tungsten Plates	An enhanced version of the Tungsten Armor that offers great Kinetic resistance. The AL variant further grants Alien resistance.
