Scale Armor is an Altairian-only Armor for Tier 8 ships, that is capable of enhancing the amount of Shield Energy contributed by the ship.
Xeno and Plasma Scale Armors provide damage resistance against Alien and Plasma Damage respectively.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
Altairian Armor is more mass efficient than Resonant Armor by far in terms of health, and provides at least the same bonus to Shield Energy. The level III version provides 50% resistance to all 3 traditional damage types, essentially combining the Elemental Resonant Armors into one.
Xeno and Plasma Scale Armors can further enhance the ship's resistance to faction-based damage types.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
The level II version is the least mass-efficient armor out of the four levels, although it does have a 5% greater shield energy modifier compared to level I.
