The Xeno Ion Recharger is an advanced version of Ion Recharger that targets Alien weapons instead. Its effect is further restricted to Beams and Cannons.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

Xeno Ion Rechargers provide more or less the same buff as the regular version but cost almost no mass. This allows for more flexibility between weapon, shield, and armor on your Combat Modules.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

At lower levels, the health damage penalty is quite large in proportion to the shield damage bonus. On top of that, most Xeno Division Hulls and above have lots more armor than shields, rendering this special useless if not a hindrance.

Xeno Ion Rechargers are incompatible with other Alien-type weapons, so make sure not to erroneously equip them.
