Advantages[edit | edit source]
Most Alien-type Beams and Cannons already have increased range over their Energy versions. This special further extends their coverage, enabling them to not only defend against base attacks from all directions, but also threaten sniper fleets in some cases.
Compared to regular Focused Apertures, this special takes up minimal mass, which is a huge improvement.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
This special can only increase your maximum range by +1,000 m at best, which is inferior to the regular Focused Apertures (+1,250 m).
Xeno Focused Apertures are incompatible with other Alien-type weapons, so make sure not to erroneously equip them.
