General[ | ]

The Wave Driver Turret is a Wave Driver adapted for bases.

It fires a small light blue slug that passes through shields, much like the ship version.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Wave Driver Turrets are excellent counters against sniper decoys equipped with recharging shields: their shield bypass greatly increases the health damage inflicted through the shields. Shields are almost meaningless against this weapon when combined with Phased Munitions.

Wave Driver Turrets have extremely long range, surpassing even the AP Driver Turret, such that they can protect a base from sniper attacks effectively.

They have superior mass efficiency compared to most Kinetic turrets of its tier, making them the weapon of choice.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Wave Driver Turrets are not very reliable and miss often, with a slightly slower projectile speed than Gladius Driver Turrets. Iridium Arrays are highly recommended to regularly land hits.

Wave Driver Turrets are also replaced by Gemini Driver Turrets that have much better DPS.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The Wave Driver Turret originally had 33/58/96 DPS but was later buffed in an update as it did not fit the then-established base defense norms.
  • The equipping time of all old blueprint items for bases was reduced by half during the May 2020 update.
