The Void Sai Missile is an improved version of the Sai Missile, retaining the ability to pierce multiple targets in a manner similar to the Bayonet Missile.

It deals void damage, with a considerable DPS boost compared to the original, and as a result, takes on a purple colouration. It is restricted to Marauder Hulls.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Like the Sai Missile, Void Sai Missiles are extremely deadly especially against clustered groups of enemy ships. They also deal higher amounts of DPS for the same mass requirements, leading to a higher mass efficiency as compared to the normal version. Furthermore, since they deal void DPS, any non-marauder hull is especially vulnerable to its effects, especially when the weapon is supplemented by Void Warheads. It also retains the lower refit times that are characteristic among most marauder equipment.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Void Sai Missiles travel slowly, much like the original, and can be easily dodged. NPC hulls possess a high level of resistance to void damage, rendering this weapon ineffective in PvE. Marauder Hulls are also able to resist void damage to a certain extent. The Piercing effect of the Void Sai Missile can also be easily mitigated by not lining up your ships in order to prevent the pierce from taking effect.
