General[edit | edit source]

The Vector Torpedo Turret is a Vector Torpedo for bases, commonly seen in medium-level combat.

It fires four torpedoes one by one that home in towards their targets, compared to two torpedos for the ship version.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

Multiple Vector Torpedoes converging on their targets

Vector Torpedo Turrets are extremely accurate and have long range, making them a very reliable defense against snipers. They can be used to prevent enemy shields from recharging, allowing heavy-hitters like Gemini Driver Turrets to deplete them faster.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

Vector Torpedo Turrets have a large minimum range, blitz fleets can hide inside it and not get fired upon in return. Their maximum range only marginally exceeds that of destroyers, so only one or two can fire back at them.

Vector Torpedo Turrets have rather low DPS, making them only useful against skilled pilots who often dodge and stay out of range of other weapons.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Vector Torpedo Turret looks identical to the Vector Torpedo, its ship version.
  • It originally had 4 seconds of tracking time, but this has been extended to 8 seconds as of the grand rebalance.
