General[edit | edit source]
The Tera Cannon is an Energy weapon developed by the Pharmakon for Cruiser Hulls.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
The Tera Cannon can deal extra DoT stacks, enhancing its ability to deal Damage Over Time.
The Tera Cannon is capable of piercing through multiple targets, making it extremely deadly against clustered groups of targets. As Ablation is affected by DoT, multiple DoT stacks can wear down Ablative health quickly unless the Umbra ship is able to regenerate its Ablative health faster than the DoT.
The unusually high projectile range of the Tera Cannon further increases the effectiveness of its piercing ability, being able to hit enemies far beyond the ship's targeting range.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
The Tera Cannon projectiles are slow, making it easy for enemy ships to dodge them.
The DoT effect can only be maximized if the enemy hull loses its Shields or Ablative Health, meaning DoT is very insignificant if the enemy has a large amount of shields or screen. Note that DoT does not affect shields, and it will be rendered ineffective if the enemy Umbra ship can regenerate its Ablative faster than the DoT.
Do note that the DoT stacks only apply to ships that have DoT damage threshold. That means the DoT will only work on the Trojan Cruiser, and not on any other hull that it is equipped to.
