The Slug Torpedo is an Explosive, hard hitting, AoE torpedo that splits upon impact and has the ability to ricochet between multiple targets. Spectre R&D recommends the use of the Slug Torpedo when dealing swarms of high health enemies.

The Slug Torpedo fires a single homing missile that splits into 2/3/4 projectiles on impact in an evenly-spaced fan of 60/70/80 deg (by level). These subprojectiles travel for 3,500 m at 2,000 m/s and explode with an AoE Radius of 300 m. Moreover, they have a Ricochet amount of 5, a detection range of 1,000/1,200/1,500 m, and a damage multiplier of 20%.

Advantages[edit | edit source]

The Slug Torpedo deals reliable damage at long range thanks to its homing ability. Its subprojectiles can ricochet between enemies for some extra damage.

It has a decent AoE which applies to its subprojectiles as well, making the weapon and its ricochets devastating against large groups of enemies, just like the Rife Missile.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

This weapon has relatively low damage (only more than the Rife Missile) and is therefore ineffective against a single target.

Compared to the Caliber Driver, it has less maximum range, enabling enemy Deadeyes to kite your ships.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This is the first weapon in Tier 9 that can Ricochet.
  • Each primary and secondary projectile does 100% and 22.7%/19.6%/15.6% of the listed DPS respectively, thus the maximum damage across all of the projectiles is 145%/159%/163% DPS (by level), not including the ricochets.
