General

The Ranger Squadron is a very powerful Kinetic squadron that can attack faraway enemies. It is limited to Freyja and Dominion Carriers.

Strategy and Setup

Advantages

Ranger Swarms have the range of Interceptor Squadrons yet vastly improved damage and speed, enabling your carrier to kite lesser enemies and destroy them swiftly.

When combined with other swarms such as the Gladiator Swarm, they can serve as cannon fodder to let others sneak in between the enemy's firing cycles and destroy them.

Disadvantages

Ranger Swarms are relatively fragile compared to other swarms, hence they can be taken out easily and not do much damage against enemies with good squadron defense.

Ranger Swarms have the longest build time, taking a full day more than the other two basic swarms at level III, which might not be worth the extra firepower and/or range.
