General[edit | edit source]
The Polaron Ray breaks the tradition of "short range, high firepower" typical of Energy weapons, instead having the opposite of these traits.
It fires yellow trailing bolts in short bursts. Like most Energy weapons, Polaron Rays home in towards their target with perfect accuracy.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
Polaron Rays can potentially outrange Explosive and even Kinetic weapons when equipped with Focused Optics. This combined with their homing ability makes them an unescapable kiting weapon, perfect for frigates and battleships.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
Polaron Rays have relatively low damage output, therefore ships equipped with this weapon are often at a disadvantage in close combat. Always try to keep your distance to avoid this situation.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
