Note: The level 4 version is only available to the faction with the corresponding damage type: Altairian for Alien Damage, Umbra for Blight Damage, Pharmakon for Plasma Damage.

The Horde Cannon fires a fan of five projectiles much like the Tera Cannon, but each projectile instead explodes with a small area of effect.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

The Horde Cannon has a large range band, enabling it to defend against enemies both close and far.

Its high speed and spread, when combined with the Predictive Aim ability, makes it very difficult for enemies to dodge its shots entirely. Thus, this weapon is very reliable even against agile fighters.

The weapon also has no charge time, which allows the weapon to shoot at enemies the instant they come in range.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

The Horde Cannon has some degree of spread, making it less effective against single targets at medium range. At long range, only a small fraction of the projectiles will actually land, thus dealing little damage.

Unless boosted by specials such as AM Warheads, the Horde Cannon's AoE is all but negligible.
