General[edit | edit source]
The Plasma Binary Torpedo is a variant of the Pharmakon-exclusive Explosive Weapon that deals plasma damage instead.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
The Plasma Binary Torpedo retains the strengths of the original Binary Torpedo, namely its ability to pierce as well as long range allowing it to kite enemy ships from afar.
It also deals Plasma damage, which Umbra Hulls have no defense against.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
Like the original Binary Torpedo, there is a noticeable amount of spread in between the 2 torpedoes it launches with each volley, ships can take advantage of this and hide within the space of both missiles, allowing them to close in on the enemy ship with this weapon and get in firing range. The spread is wide enough to allow a single ship to pass through. The weapon also has a large minimum range as well.
Plasma damage is resisted by the majority of T7 ships, excluding Umbra hulls. Because of this, plasma weapons are significantly less effective against Altairian and Pharmakon hulls.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The Plasma Binary Torpedo is the first Plasma weapon utilized by the Pharmakon to have AoE.
