General[edit | edit source]
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
The Atrophy Router increases the DoT stacks and lowers the DoT threshold for all weapons on the ship, reducing the amount of damage they have to deal to apply each DoT Stack. See more details about DoT here.
It also increases the damage dealt by Plasma Cannon weapons, making them much more deadlier.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
Plasma Atrophy Router does not provide extra range unlike the Plasma Celestial Optics, meaning that cruisers with only this special and thrusters can be much more easily kited as compared to cruisers with it.
The special also takes up quite a bit of space: 18% weapon mass at max level.
Only Pharmakon Hulls are able to equip this special.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Plasma Atrophy Router is the second special to buff Damage Over Time effects, after the Atrophy Router.
- This special has been locked to Tier 7 ships in the early November 2019 update.
