The NET Burst Torpedo Turret is the base version of the (Void) NET Burst Torpedo. The secondary projectiles have an AoE of 450 m and Piercing Amount of 2, and travel for 3,200 m at 2,750 m/s.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

This turret deals a lot of damage for a stasis weapon, on par with the Nova Missile Turret except at level IV. As a stasis weapon, it has the ability to slow down enemy ships, making them easier targets for your other defenses.

Its splitting projectiles, with AoE and piercing, can potentially cover a huge area, damaging and crippling entire enemy fleets at once. Compared to other weapons, the torpedo's secondary projectiles deal quite a bit of damage, further increasing its potential damage output.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

The NET Burst Torpedo Turret has lower range and deals less stasis than both the Arrestor Beam Turret and NET Torpedo Turret, making it much less appealing against single targets and snipers. That being said, the sub-projectiles can travel pretty far and may hit distant enemies behind the main target.

Since the main projectile can travel all the way to the maximum range before splitting (unlike the ship version), it is unable to fully stop rush fleets.

It also does not synergize well with the Nova Missile Turret and Binary Torpedo Turret as they are unable to land hits on stationary (or in this case, slowed) targets.

  • The Net Burst Torpedo Turret's primary and secondary projectiles deal a total of 96%/100%/100%/100% and 107% DPS respectively (by level).
  • Explosive and RPS versions of the NET Burst Torpedo are only available for bases.
