The Kinetic Myr is a spawner that can be equipped onto the Aerico. On death, it releases a patch of Blight Nebula Field of 1,000 m radius that deals 250 damage per second and lasts for 10 seconds before dissipating. If it manages to get within 500 m of an enemy ship, module or squadron, it additionally explodes for Kinetic Damage, dealing extra damage based on its remaining health and destroying itself in the process.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

Kinetic Myrs complement both of the Aerico's overdrives: Stalk by creating Blight Nebula Fields, and Rile by the mere act of spawning in.

Their Counter Ricochet prevents enemy Ricocheting shots from hitting additional targets, most importantly their parent ship.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

Squadrons are a direct counter to Myrs since they can trigger their explosion from long range and respawn much quicker than the Myrs themselves.

The Blight Nebula Fields they create deal meager damage, even against Altairian ships. Moreover, enemy Aericos may exploit them to activate their Stalk overdrive.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The Kinetic Myr is basically the same as Pyro Myr but its explosions deal Kinetic Damage instead.
  • Myrs have a firing arc of 360 degrees.
  • Although the damage is expressed in terms of DPS in-game, the calculation is set up such that the damage per shot of single-shot weapons is equal to its DPS value.
