The Interceptor Wing launches from your Fleet Bay, loaded with Kinetic weapons.

The Interceptor Wing is the base variant of the Interceptor Squadron, most often used in medium-level bases.

It travels directly towards targets that enter its scramble range. In combat, it looks identical to the Interceptor Squadron but has a stronger blue aura.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Interceptor Wings have a very long range and can defend against sniper fleets from many angles.

Similar to the ship version, they can also be used to bait the first shots, allowing other wings such as the Bomber Wing to sneak in and deal damage.

Interceptor Wings are very lightweight, allowing more durability on your modules.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Interceptor Wings severely lack firepower. On top of that, they travel slowly, meaning that they will most likely be shot down before dealing any significant damage.

Having an even longer range than Bomber Wings, they can be exploited even further by destroyers to damage structures that are otherwise out of range.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The Interceptor Wing has the highest range of all player-obtainable base squadrons at 9,500 m, tied with the Spectre Wing.
  • The equipping time of all old blueprint items for bases was reduced by half during the May 2020 update.
