The Hellfire Battleship is a Tier 5 hull with extra offensive power in the form of weapon slots and mass reductions.
As a battleship, this ship has bonus range and duplicate weapons for each firing arc, dealing massive damage from a safe distance.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
Hellfire Battleships have immense firepower, with up to 8 weapon slots. It can equip Infernal weapons, the Infernal Wave Driver being the most popular, decimating enemies that get within range. Vector/NET setups are still the most common due to their effectiveness at kiting cruisers.
Hellfire Battleships are the best ships to use for farming T5 NPC Targets and below. Most NPC Targets can be done without taking much damage anyways, so this ship can make full use of its many weapon slots to defeat the enemy fleet as quickly as possible.
While the Hellfire Battleship seems to be relatively fragile, it can equip the Armored Thrusters to boost its health, so the difference is not actually that large, considering that most people only put light armor on their battleships anyway.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
Compared to the Vigilante Battleship, this ship is a total glass cannon. Vigilante Battleships are likely to win in a one-on-one fight simply due to their health. That being said, Hellfire Battleships usually get a much lower repair time.
A popular strategy during Civil War and other PvP events is to use a fleet of microrep (10% health) Hellfire Battleships and a Dominion Carrier to troll others, kiting anything with less range and dealing heavy damage to blitzing cutters before being destroyed. The only way to take them out with minimal losses is to harass them with a strong carrier.
