The Heavy Rupture Beam is an enhanced Rupture Beam with significantly more firepower.
Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]
Advantages[edit | edit source]
Heavy Rupture Beams share the same advantages as regular Rupture Beams, only that they deal a lot more damage.
They are also more mass-efficient, allowing your ships to pack a punch and have adequate defense at the same time.
Disadvantages[edit | edit source]
Heavy Rupture Beams still have horrible range and cannot defend against squadrons. Their high damage only worsens the problem of overkilling targets and thus wasting firepower.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Despite its description, this weapon does not take longer to charge up than the normal Rupture Beam.
- Along with other T6 equipment, this item's build time was significantly reduced during the late April 2019 update as summarized here.
