VEGA Mining Grind Targets[ | ]
Cargo[ | ]
VEGA Mining Cargo Fleets carry resources from resource fields to Processing Complexes owned by the VEGA Federation inside the same Planet. These fleets also have a chance of containing a blueprint fragment.
Fleets labelled with purple only drop Antimatter. Other fleets are prefixed with "VEGA" and drop all three resources in the ratio 35% H3/35% Ore/30% AM but are also often higher level, and thus, more challenging to defeat.
Resource fields are located all around the planet, with each resource field being categorized in a specific 'Tier' which determines the levels of fleets that can spawn from it at any given time. Antimatter resource fields, in particular, exist as [Tier 3 (15-20)], [Tier 4a (23-25)] and [Tier 4b (27-30)] and spawn fleets containing only Antimatter.
Resource fields show a number - the level of the next fleet that spawns from it - and a timer below the field that shows how long until the next fleet spawns.
When defeated, any excess cargo that does not fit in your fleet's cargo hold will drift on the map for 45 seconds, allowing you (or other players) to collect it with another fleet.
As noted above, the following fleets only drop Antimatter.

Note: All ships have no minimum range. Corvettes, frigates and cruisers have primitive AI - that is, they head straight towards their target and do not start to strafe even when the target is well in range.
Resource Supply Run[ | ]
Resource Supply Run Fleets are special fleets that carry large amounts of a particular resource with small amounts of the other two from place to place during supply runs, which run for 1 hour every 3 hours.
There are 3 types of resource supply runs - one for each resource. The ratio of resources dropped depends on the type of resource supply run that is occurring. For example, a Helium-3 Supply Run would drop more Helium-3 but less Mineral Ore and Antimatter, and so on so forth.
Supply Run fleets spawn from resource fields and travel to Processing Complexes in the same planet.
When defeated, resources are dropped in a 70/15/15 ratio, the former being the main resource drop.
There was a bug that caused the names below the icons of the Resource Supply Run fleets to be displayed incorrectly when they spawned in the Residential Sector.
Supply Run | Incorrect Fleet Name | Correct Fleet Name |
---|---|---|
Helium-3 | Faction He3 | Faction He-3 |
Mineral Ore | Faction Miner | Faction Ore |
Antimatter | Faction Containment | Faction AM |
Crafting[ | ]
These targets drop crafting materials for non-dreadnought ships. They spawn from resource fields and travel to Processing Complexes in the same planet.
The crafting boxes do not have weighted drops, so it is equally likely to obtain a Mk II pattern as a Mk V pattern.
These fleets no longer spawn as of current.

VEGA Battalion (45) VEGA Battleship (45) |
Battleships prepared to overwhelm their enemies. Bring upgraded cutters to even the odds. | x1 | x1 x3 |
The Dread Battleships deal massive damage; exploit their blind spots or outrange them. | ||
x6 | x1 x6 x1 |
Note: All ships have no minimum range with the exception of NET Torpedoes.
Crafting Supply Run[ | ]
These targets drop crafting materials for non-dreadnought ships at much higher rates than crafting fleets during the Supply Run sector activity, which runs for 1 hour every 3 hours. Supply Run fleets have a different icon to distinguish them from crafting fleets.
Supply Run fleets spawn from resource fields and travel to Processing Complexes in the same planet.
When defeated, a crafting box is dropped. This box contains a predefined amount of armaments and parts for a specified hull. The remaining drop is either a core or a pattern. Do note that unlike those of regular crafting fleets, this drop is heavily weighted towards less valuable items. Carrier boxes of Tier 4 or below instead drop one of the aforementioned items at random.

Trivia[ | ]
- Technically, the Apocrypha Cruisers in VEGA Cargo fleets Level 37 and above are re-skinned Rapture Cruisers.
- Despite the fleet description, VEGA Mining Planetary Cargo Fleets only contain VEGA Mining ships.
- Sector Cargo Fleets originally spawned 4 at a time from each planet after a set time window of 7.5 minutes.
- The cargo drift timer was changed from the original 120 seconds to 20 seconds, then increased to the present 45 seconds due to player outrage.
- Originally, the crafting and crafting supply run fleets were named as follows, but as of the early March 2018 update, the names have been standardized to the respective hull classes:
- Scouts - Frigates
- Raiders - Cruisers
- Artillery - Destroyers
- Battalion - Battleships
- Hunters - Cutters
- Commander - Carriers
- When resource supply runs first came out, they only had normal resource drops, defeating their purpose. KIXEYE removed them to fix the issue and later turned them back on when done.
- VEGA Mining crafting and supply run targets of level 30 or above originally spawned in sector space. The crafting targets have been removed while the supply run targets have been relocated to in-planet shortly after the late August 2019 update.
