Supersonic Thrusters are unique thrusters designed for the Decimator Cutter. They massively increase forward speed, at the cost of turning and strafe speed. They can only be equipped on the Decimator, Vindicator and Cavalier Cutters.
Strategy and Setup[ | ]
Advantages[ | ]
Supersonic Thrusters enable your cutters to swiftly catch up to enemy battleships despite the presence of Stasis Dealing weaponry, and subsequently overpower them.
This thruster can also be used to run away from cutters that do not have the same item equipped, not to mention other ships, so you can safely scout out most enemy fleets.
Disadvantages[ | ]
The penalty to rotation and strafe speed allows agile enemies such as Pegasus and even cruisers to outmanuever your cutters and stay outside of your firing arc indefinitely.
Due to the extremely high forward speed, your weapons will become much less accurate against squadrons that are already firing on your cutters.
Trivia[ | ]
- Supersonic Thrusters were initially leaked by a Chinese user but KIXEYE quickly covered it up. The thruster was never made available to the public.
- It is still recorded as an item in-game, unlike the Strike Thrusters which had been replaced by the Xeno Armored Thruster.
- It resembles the Xeno Armored Thruster.
