The Monitor is a titan modeled after the cruiser class. Like other ships with this role, it emphasizes on defense.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

Defrag is most powerful when the Monitor is right in the middle of an enemy fleet. Its large AoE allows the overdrive to damage multiple ships at once, potentially exceeding the damage output of the Vector's Fracture. Like Fracture, it also does extra damage to health, which counters the Umbra faction because their Ablative Armor defenses are also considered as health.

Ancillary Routine further counters Umbra: while the drones do not deal much damage, they have immense health and apply a stronger Ablative Suppression, making it difficult for Umbra enemies to recover their Ablative Armor.

It has one extra armor slot than other titans, so it can survive longer in battle even when its defenses are down. This also helps it to receive less repair time when fighting NPC Targets.

Like the Operator and Vector, it has a passive Ablative Suppression effect which, on hit, reduces the ability of enemy Umbra ships to regenerate their Ablative Armor.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Defrag can be easily countered by spreading out ships (especially long range ones like those with the ranger role) so that not many of them get hit at once. Moreover, only the final shockwave really deals damage, but in order to actually hit the enemy with it, the Monitor has to stay close to the enemy for 4 seconds while not in Phase State, giving enemies even more time to mitigate it.

The drones from Ancillary Routine deal next to no damage.

It has one fewer screen slot than other titans, so it takes less effort to break through its defenses using sheer damage in a short period of time.
