The Komodo Cutter is a Tier 4 hull with more advanced VEGA Security technology.

As a cutter, this ship has fair durability and superior forward speed, suitable for rushing into enemy formations.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

The Komodo Cutter is essentially a Gharial Cutter with 20% more maximum mass, allowing it to fit higher level weapons and armor. As a result, it has better overall capability.

With a low build time and high maximum mass, this ship can serve as an escort to guard more valuable fleets, with the perk of being able to run from unfavorable situations.

SICO Missiles are a solid choice as they quickly take out incoming squadrons and deal continuous damage to enemy ships. For damage output, use Burst Rays, or Gatling Rays if you do not like the short range.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Do not overestimate your ships even if they have a full tier advantage. A prime example is that Komodo Cutters tend to be overpowered by upgraded Revelation Cruisers due to their bonus to cutter damage.

Trivia[ | ]

During a Riot event, a prize bump was given to some players due to lag issues. However, one member of a clan known as [SpCo], a German clan, accidentally received the Komodo Cutter instead of the Gharial Cutter. Thus, he became the first person to get the Komodo Cutter.
The Komodo Cutter was also changed to look more like its depiction in the Martial Law event banner. This makes it the second ship to receive a major texture/graphics overhaul after the Rapture Cruiser.
All player ships had their Resurgence values modified as a result of the late February 2020 update.
