The Eagle Frigate is a Tier 4 hull with more advanced VEGA Security technology.

As a frigate, this ship focuses on agility and evasion, avoiding damage when possible.

Strategy and Setup

Advantages

While less shielded than Condor Frigates, Eagle Frigates can equip armor and are much less susceptible to Shield Bypass effects. They can also carry more equipment overall.

Make the most out of Binary Thrusters with this ship, which allows it to kite shorter-ranged enemies with ease in fleet combat and dodge projectiles as a sniper decoy.

Disadvantages

Eagle Frigates are rather fragile and are easily taken out by long-range cruisers as well as battleships. Destroyers can also pose a threat as you may not be able to get close enough to deal damage before being destroyed.

You need to have excellent piloting skill to effectively dodge enemy volleys. Against homing weapons, you stand much less of a chance of winning the battle if you are unable to kite the opponent.

Trivia

• The Eagle Frigate was the first of the VEGA Security Hulls made available to players.
• Prior to the grand rebalance, Eagle Frigates had more strafe speed than forward speed, which made it more efficient to strafe than to travel directly forwards.
• All player ships had their Resurgence values modified as a result of the late February 2020 update.
