The Fighter Squadron is made up of fast, close-range ships. They are equipped with Energy weapons for high burst damage. Squadrons are only usable with carriers [sic].

The Fighter Squadron is the most basic ship squadron. It can be researched in the Arms Lab.

It dives directly towards its targets, firing tiny yellow bolts upon arrival.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

In comparison to other squadrons, Fighter Squadrons are the fastest and lightest. Their high speed allows them to reach their targets faster, and retreat more quickly when destroyed or depleted.

In comparison to conventional ship weapons, squadrons have a far longer range of engagement. Players with squadrons occupy a tactically advantageous position over those who don't, as they can strike first, often dictating how the battle will flow. Opponents without adequate squadron defense will be taken out before they even reach your fleet.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

Fighter Squadrons have significantly less range than Bomber Squadrons and Interceptor Squadrons, allowing other carriers to kite those equipped with this squadron.

Fighter Squadrons have low health, meaning that they are often heavily damaged before even reaching their targets. To add insult to injury, they have a short flight time and so can only inflict limited damage before having to refuel.
