The decimator cutter is the second tier 6 ship introduced and is typically the second xeno division hull a player will acquire. This cutter is unique from other cutters in that it has a much faster acceleration and doesn't benefit from damage bonuses when marked up. Nevertheless, it is one of the strongest hulls in the game and is capable of using extremely powerful xeno weaponry.
Strengths:Deals tremendous damage very quickly on targets in range. Very useful against battleships, destroyers, and carriers.
Weaknesses:Can be out-ranged by most other ships. Lack of homing projectiles means that cruisers and frigates can avoid damage. Opposing xeno division hulls will not be as affected by this build.
The Mk VI Alien Cluster Cutter is the strongest build for the decimator in terms of offensive power. The raw strength of the Xeno Cluster Missile, paired with the increase to AOE and decrease in spread from Xeno Munitions, give this hull unparalleled close-range power.
While it does deal massive damage and is very effective against most opponents, one must not forget that faster hulls such as cruisers and frigates can dodge your shots. Allowing them to fire back unscathed if the pilots in question are skilled.
Metaphase II is utilized instead of III to put more mass into repair efficient talonite armor. The shield can be removed to make room for higher strength talonite or special xeno resistor armors.
