The Comandante Carrier is the carrier for the Spectre faction, designed as a support ship to bolster the capabilities of friendly Spectre ships.

Like other Tier 9 Spectre ships, the Comandante Carrier can recharge its shields even after being fully depleted.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

The Comandante Carrier has more slots than other Spectre ships apart from the Torus Dreadnought, with improved mass modifiers to make use of all of those slots, enabling it to field much more equipment and have combat capabilities that exceed that of regular ships. Most notably, it can have up to two spawner slots, which could endlessly warp in ships to distract enemies.

Despite its flagship status, its speed almost match that of the Switch, which is a huge improvement over older carriers. Although it does not get a speed boost when in Prime Shift, it does get a bonus when Bolster Stance overdrive is active. Considering that the condition for Bolster Stance can be partially met with its own spawned ships, it is very easy to activate that overdrive and thus prevent the ship from lagging behind your other ships.

It has up to six hangar weapon slots that can hold weapons or squadrons that can attack enemies from afar. Its Prime Shift active overdrive launches three additional squadrons that can swarm the enemy and deal further damage. It is recommended to use squadrons as the ship passively increases their health, vastly improving their survivability.

Its support field, Prime Optimization, increases the Prime Shift charge rate of friendly ships by up to +4% (in absolute terms), helping them enter Prime Shift sooner.

With the introduction of buffed Ilios Missile, this ship now can deal massive damage, and is no more a solely support vessel. Ilios Missile is a Tier 10 weapon, so with them Comandante becomes overpowered compared to other Tier 9 ships.

Disadvantages[ | ]

When not having aforementioned missiles, the ship has to use squadrons, which can potentially be shot down, greatly limiting their damage potential. Also its Prime Shift bonuses only boost squadrons, not the missiles. It is recommended that the carrier be accompanied by friendly ships to draw fire and thus giving its squadrons an opportunity to reach the enemy and deal damage to them.
