The Caliber Driver is a hard hitting long range projectile weapon. This weapon deals high burst damage on a single enemy. Spectre R&D recommends the Caliber Driver in scenarios where dealing with fewer highly defended and armored enemies.

The Caliber Driver is a long-range weapon that deals very high damage up-front but takes a long time to reload.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

It has higher base DPS than even the Breach Cannon, and has much longer maximum range. With no charge time and a long reload time, the weapon can output so much damage on the first shot that it can take out enemies immediately before they even get a chance to close the distance.

Its weapon speed is quite high for a driver weapon, making it more accurate than Tier 8 weapons such as the Astral Driver.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

The minimum range of this weapon is so large that it cannot be used at all on fighters. Even on ships with long range, the huge dead zone grants enemies the opportunity to fire at you without getting any return fire, provided they survive the barrage as they close in.

Due to the long reload time of this weapon, if the enemy manages to dodge your first shot, your ships are basically helpless for the next few seconds, giving enemies time to enter your minimum range.
