The Brutal Hydra Missile is a modified Hydra Missile with greatly increased damage but less range.

Strategy and Setup[ | ]

Advantages[ | ]

In close combat, Brutal Hydra Missiles are much more effective than their regular variant due to the extra firepower. The mass requirement is the same, allowing your ships to deal more damage while having the same durability and mobility.

A niche use for this weapon is squadron defense. When combined with longer-ranged weapons, your ships could fire at distant enemies while keeping a weapon slot free for defending against incoming squadrons.

Disadvantages[ | ]

Brutal Hydra Missiles have a very thin band of firing range: the short maximum range allows your ships to be easily kited, while the minimum range is a liability to your ships especially when they have to get so close to open fire.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The Brutal Hydra Missile looks identical to Hydra Missile I-III.
  • Although the Brutal Hydra Missile is supposed to be an upgraded version of the Hydra Missile, it is considered much worse then the actual Hydra Missile, at least by the majority of players.
  • The Brutal Hydra Missile is the first Brutal ship weapon.
