===Advantages=== The Broadsider has the most spawner slots out of any Spectre ship. With up to a -90% mass modifier for this slot, it is recommended that you fit the best spawned ships available to maximize mass efficiency. With six in the fleet, up to fifty-four (54) spawned ships (four Pikes + one Halt Revenant for each Broadsider) could be active at once, easily overwhelming enemies that are designed for single-target damage. Its Prime Shift bonus further increases the mobility, damage and durability of its spawned ships. making them even more threatening. Its Prime Shift Active weapon, while basic, packs a huge punch (270k base damage at Mk V), not to mention that it pierces. If lined up correctly, a single Broadsider could one-shot multiple enemy ships with it. Keep in mind that it is activated based on spawning more ships, so you should try to ensure that the spawned ships are destroyed regularly to fire the overdrive more often; Combined with a split secondary projectile, this allows it to effectively damage modules from 11,000m - beyond the range of all base weapons. Compared to other ships, the Broadsider has extra resistance against Alien, Plasma and Blight, and thus can better deal with the Halt, Decay and Hush Revenant respectively. It also has a significant shield damage modifier which helps it take down enemy shields, despite its limited firepower.
