General[edit | edit source]

The Basic Cargo is the starter cargo hold, allowing your ships to carry more resources.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

Basic Cargo is cheap to equip, most useful on instant-repair ships such as Talon Frigates and Rancor Battleships to collect cargo after defeating NPC Targets on the map.

It is also used in base attack fleets to steal extra resources.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

Basic Cargo should not be used outside of cargo collection unless you have special slots to spare: it does not improve the combat effectiveness of your ships in any way.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Originally, Basic Cargo had a high repair time, making cargo fleets worth destroying. Their repair time was removed along with that of most equipment during the Grand Rebalance.
