General[edit | edit source]

The AP Driver Turret is the base version of the AP Driver, commonly seen inside medium-level bases.

It fires two brilliant blue projectiles in sequence, unlike the ship version which only fires one.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

AP Driver Turrets have a very high range that exceeds that of the Gladius Driver Turret, providing extensive coverage against destroyers.

AP Driver Turrets have fast projectiles on par with those of the Gladius Driver Turret, resulting in a rather high accuracy when paired with Iridium Arrays.

They can also pierce multiple ships in a line; this is most useful when combined with Terminus Mines that force enemies into a single file when blitzing.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

AP Driver Turrets lack proximity detonation unlike the Gladius Driver Turret, so they are not as reliable at long range. They also have less firepower and are hence less effective at taking down sniper decoys.

While AP Driver Turrets have a smaller minimum range, it is still quite large, making them weak to rush attacks.
