AM Detonators are the base counterpart of AM Warheads.

Strategy and Setup[edit | edit source]

Advantages[edit | edit source]

AM Detonators improve your weapons' area of effect, making them more likely to damage multiple enemies at once. This means that against grouped ships, your effective DPS will be multiplied, decimating them within seconds.

AM Detonators also increase the reach of your weapons by enlarging the explosions such as to damage enemies that are slightly beyond maximum range.

Disadvantages[edit | edit source]

AM Detonators take up quite a bit of extra mass, making them not really worth equipping in most cases: opponents usually have enough common sense to spread out their ships against Explosive weapons.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The "AM" in AM Detonators stands for Antimatter.
  • Despite being called "Antimatter Detonators" its AoE would be much bigger if actual Antimatter was used.
